Horses visit Sioux City Career Academy for National FFA Week

The Sioux City FFA chapter gave students at the Sioux City Career Academy some real-life experience with a couple of horses.
Two of its members brought their horses to school to show to their class and give them a chance to interact with the animals. The chapter’s president says it’s a great way to get more kids involved and to help those already in FFA, too.
“They definitely are more interested, providing a more hands-on learning experience gets more people involved and they want to explore more,” said Cassie Rohrbaugh. “It brings us together as a chapter and allows more friendships and obviously we learn a lot. I’m not really a horse person but I’m learning a lot.”
This visit is part of national FFA week. Our local chapter will also be competing in an FFA contest.
