November Message from Principal Todd

The counselors are starting the registration process for the 2022-2023 School Year in November. We use registration to decide on what classes to offered and the number of sections for each class. The plan is to be done by January 2022. This a great opportunity to take advantage of the numerous course offerings in the Sioux City Community School District. You will also want to look through the Course Guide for descriptions of each course. You can find the 2022-2023 HS Course Guide on the District’s Website https://www.siouxcityschools.org/academics/course-guide/.

With so many opportunities for our students, good planning will maximize their educational experience. Take challenging classes and definitely take advantage of the many dual credit courses high school has to offer. Try different classes at the Career Academy; even if you find the course is not for you, it will save you time and money in college if you explore it now! Students please take the time to read course descriptions and find classes that you are interested in.

Seniors, what are your plans after high school? A four-year college? A two-year degree? The military? or Starting your career? By now, you should have your choices narrowed down to one or two. A two-year degree from a community college can be as powerful as a four-year degree. Be sure to finish strong because many scholarships, financial aid packages, and college acceptances are dependent on your final transcript.
