We have one final Senior Spotlight to share! Executive Officer Zoey made many lasting memories in Student Council over the last few years, for herself and for others.
She especially enjoyed summer retreats and the winter warmups. She loved participating in Secret Santa. Every trip was a fun one for her, whether it was to Des Moines for the state conference, or whether it was getting lost in the Loess Hills on a bus to MVAOUCOU! She also made these trips fun for everyone else around her.
Zoey had a knack for learning and applying. She would hear ideas and be both so logical and so creative in thinking of how we could execute those ideas. She was never afraid to sign up to volunteer. She participated in both Bickford Buddies and Hunt Pals and liked getting to meet them and help with service projects for both places.

Here’s what her fellow executive officers and advisers had to say about Zoey:

Zoey was so bold and always spoke her mind and stood up for herself and the ones she loved. β€’ zoey was the most genuine person i have ever met. she was there for me through thick and thin. she always knew what to say and how to be there for me in any situation. i miss her with my entire heart and i love my beautiful zoester forever. β€’ Zoey lights up a room whenever she walks in. There is a never a dull moment with her and I’m so thankful for how often she makes me laugh. β€’ Zoey- was so easygoing and always made student council fun. she really grew into an amazing leader throughout her time on the council. β€’ zoey is a light. non stop shining light that brightened everyone’s day. she wants to make sure everyone around her is having a good time. she is so charismatic, energetic, and loving. everyone has something they can learn from zoeys beautiful personality. β€’ Zoey brings the light. She never takes herself too seriously and wants to make sure everyone is having fun. She works hard on the tasks she is given and motivated others to do the same, helping them along the way. β€’ one of the many things I liked best about Zoey is how she was never afraid to be herself. She was open-minded, empathetic, super quick-witted, unique, and adventureous. Almost no interaction with her was typical. She’d almost never knock; she didn’t have to. She knew she was welcome and we loved having her around. She’d come sailing right in the door with some warm and emphatic greeting, one that always made us laugh. She was bold and smart. Caring and hardworking. We will miss her so much.

Thank you, Zoey, for all your contributions of time and talent over the years, to your school, your community, and especially to this organization full of people who loved you so much. We have no doubt you’d have done well and had so much fun at Iowa, and you’d have been successsful in using all those gifts you had to go out and change the world. We love you. 🀎 πŸ’› πŸ–€
