About the Program

East High Student Council is a student government organization comprised of approximately 50-60 students from grade levels 9-12. Representatives are chosen through both application and election processes. Students are held to high standards of participation, character, leadership, and academic achievement. The focus of the group is student leadership with an emphasis on community service. Our student council plans and implements numerous events throughout the school year to support our student body and promote school spirit.

Annual Events

The EHS student council has been recognized multiple times at the state level as an Honor Council. Council members are consistently active at the state level, and frequently attend events and trainings at the regional and national levels. Most recently, EHS student council projects have been featured in The New York Times, NPR, and CBS, in addition to local print and television media outlets.
